Davidson has 17 Scotland caps

Davidson, 28, was released by Leicester after their Premiership relgation.

"It took a while to get the loose ends sorted, but we are very pleased Callum has agreed a three-year deal with us," said Preston chairman Derek Shaw.

"We released two left-sided players and sold Michael Keane, but Callum gives us plenty of quality and experience down that side," he told their website.
