Preston chairman Derek Shaw has dismissed suggestions that Leeds have upped their offer for David Healy. Leeds assistant boss Sam Ellis hinted they had made a third offer for the Northern Ireland striker.
But Shaw told Preston's website: "We have not received another bid from Leeds United at this moment in time.
"As it stands the only contact we have had from them is when they made the second bid before today. That bid was flatly rejected."
Following Leeds' victory over Preston on Saturday, Ellis said: "There is another bid in, although it would not be right for us to make it public."
Preston have rejected bids of 100,000 and 200,000 for the 25-year-old, who is out of contract next summer.
Healy, who joined Preston for 1.5m from Manchester United, played 75 minutes against Leeds.
Preston manager Billy Davies praised the striker's efforts and said he remains hopeful of keeping him at Deepdale.
"I think he worked his socks off," said Davies. "He did tire at the end, but it's been a difficult week with all the speculation going on around him.
"The offers so far from Leeds have not been anywhere near what we consider the player to be worth and he remains a Preston North End player as far as I am concerned.
"When I sit down on Sunday we will discuss the David Healy situation, if there is one to discuss."
