Portsmouth stars will play in FA Cup final - Hughes
Hughes was one player rumoured to be in danger of missing the FA Cup final
Portsmouth's Richard Hughes expects the club's players to find a way to settle a potential issue over bonuses to play in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
With Pompey in administration, reports have suggested the club's inability to pay bonuses may rule some players out.
But Hughes told BBC 5 live any payments could be deferred to a later date.
"I'm one of the players reported to not be allowed to play, but I've been through my contract and there's nothing in it to say I cannot play," he said.
"I think the most likely thing that would happen is what is happening now at the club, where all the appearance money and bonuses are deferred to a later date when a new owner is in place.
"He would then take that up as a football debt and they would be paid as and when," added the midfielder.
"At the moment we are not being paid bonuses, or at least they are being deferred until a later date, so I imagine that would remain the same.
"If it's a matter of playing in the final or not then all players are in the same boat."
Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou is also confident manager Avram Grant will have a full squad to choose from for the showpiece against his former club.
"We seem to have everything under control at the moment and will, as usual, put out a strong team against Wigan [in the Premier League] on Wednesday," Andronikou said.
"Now we have another problem, albeit a very welcome one, for the final. I'm sure we'll have a full squad to play against Chelsea in May."
Andronikou also confirmed Pompey will be speaking to French club Lens over allowing Aruna Dindane to play in the final without triggering a £4m payment that comes with his 22nd appearance for Pompey.
"Under his contract there was a bullet payment after his 22nd appearance, he has played 21 games and we are looking to have a meeting with Lens to negotiate," Andronikou added.
"I'm sure they will see it is in the interest of the club, themselves and the player for there to be a compromise.
"There are other players with clauses in their contract. But I am very confident they will be playing and I'm confident we will get the whole squad back for the final."
