Pennant is on loan at Pompey from Liverpool until the end of the season

Portsmouth winger Jermaine Pennant says caretaker manager Paul Hart should be given the opportunity to take on the manager's role on a permanent basis.

The Fratton Park side are unbeaten since Hart and assistant Brian Kidd took over two weeks ago.

Pennant told BBC Radio Solent: "You can see the difference in the team, so why not keep him? If it is not broke, then do not fix it.

"Let it roll, if the players play for him, why not?"
