Tony Adams has insisted he has the support of the club's chairman and players even though Portsmouth are just one point above the relegation zone.
Portsmouth have won just two of their 15 Premier League matches since Adams took charge back in October and host title hopefuls Liverpool on Saturday.
"Nothing's changed. The owner wants me to do the job and the chairman wants me to do the job," Adams told BBC Sport.
"The players want me to do the job and the majority of the fans do."
The beleaguered Portsmouth manager's future has come under increasing scrutiny following Pompey's 3-1 loss to Fulham on Saturday, the south coast club's sixth defeat in seven games.
A number of names have been linked with Adams' job, although former West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has denied reports he has been asked to succeed the former England and Arsenal captain.
I'm not going to walk away because of a couple of guys
Tony Adams
Adams revealed he was verbally abused by a couple of fans after the defeat at Craven Cottage but vowed he would continue to "do my job".
"It was a bit unusual, but I'm not alone as there are managers up and down the country who get it," said the 42-year-old.
"They've actually got it in their mind they don't want me at the club but I'm not going to walk away because of a couple of guys.
"I work with the players. I try to get the best out of my players with the resources I've got at the club and that's what I try to do on a daily basis.
"I try to put the players into shape, organise them and get them motivated to try to get three points."
Adams said his team needed to build on their promising performance against Aston Villa at the end of January, a game they lost 1-0.
Portsmouth have not beaten Liverpool since April 2007, although the visitors will be without influential captain Steven Gerrard on Saturday.
And Adams added that he hopes the Reds might be a little jaded after their 1-0 FA Cup defeat by Everton in midweek.
"I hope it's a good time to play them," Adams added.
"They've still got some very good players and they've got a very good team, but hopefully things in midweek have taken it out of them.
"For me, it's about us. We need to give everything and build on the Aston Villa performance. If we can get that level of performance against Liverpool then we're going to give them a good game."
Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch said the Portsmouth players were "fully behind" their manager.
Crouch, who made a 11m move from Anfield to Fratton Park in the summer, said: "We're certainly giving 100% and not just for the manager but for ourselves.
"We're proud players and we've been losing a few games recently and want to turn that around. We've got to start turning it around sooner rather than later."
