Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is tipping David James to play for England against Switzerland on Wednesday. The Pompey keeper faces competition from Scott Carson and Chris Kirkland for a place in the starting line-up.
And Redknapp said: "He's the best. He trains like a lunatic, he's a fitness fanatic, he's a freak, he's in such great shape."
The 37-year-old has won 35 caps since making his England debut under Glenn Hoddle 11 years ago.
