Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has rubbished reports that England defender Sol Campbell may be on his way out of Fratton Park. The 33-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to Newcastle, and has missed the last two Pompey games with a back injury.
Redknapp told BBC Radio Solent: "It's absolute nonsense. He's had a bad back, that's why he hasn't played.
"There's not a chance of Sol leaving or a chance he wants to leave."
Campbell was recently publicly rebuked by Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie after questioning the club's ambition.
"The muddy pitches at our training ground are awful and that's been a problem, it hasn't helped. But other than that he's fine," Redknapp added.
Since Campbell's outburst, Pompey have signed former Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra and former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Milan Baros.
