Kanu is the current Premier League's top scorer |
Portsmouth say Kanu will not be sold in the January transfer window. The 30-year-old, who has been linked with Dutch club Ajax, reportedly told a Nigerian radio station said: "If a better offer comes I will take it."
But striker Kanu is under contract until the end of the season and Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie said: "There's no chance of him leaving.
"Kanu is our player and he's tied up until the end of the season, with an option of an extension beyond that."
The Premier League's top scorer with nine goals, Kanu's career has been revitalised since joining Pompey from West Brom in the summer.
Storrie added: "He is playing very well for us and that is why you get this speculation, but I can't make it any clearer that he is our player and that's that."
