Redknapp rejoined Pompey from Southampton in December |
Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has signed a new three-year contract. Redknapp rejoined the club in December on a short-term deal but after steering Pompey to Premiership survival, he has been rewarded with a new contract.
"It is nice to get the matter sorted and now we can concentrate on moving this club forward," chief executive Peter Storrie told the club website.
"The ending to the season was only the beginning and Harry is the man who will take us on from here."
Redknapp's previous contract officially expired on the final day of the season, but a new deal was agreed in principle shortly afterwards.
Portsmouth were in desperate trouble when Redknapp made the controversial move back to the club from south-coast rivals Southampton.
However, a run of 20 points in their last 10 games saw Portsmouth climb out of the bottom three to safety.
