Todorov has made himself available for the trip to Chelsea |
Svetoslav Todorov hopes to return to the Portsmouth line-up for Saturday's trip to Chelsea, despite walking out on the squad before the last match. The striker left Fratton Park ahead of the recent game with Manchester United after he was omitted from the action.
But the 27-year-old told the Portsmouth News: "I did leave the ground but I was not trying to cause trouble.
"I've watched so many games from the sidelines I just could not handle watching another. There is no problem."
Todorov endured two-and-a-half years on the sidelines with a severe knee injury before this season and has scored only one goal in 16 appearances this term.
However, his most recent displays as substitute have impressed the Portsmouth faithful and he insists he is fully behind Harry Redknapp.
And the Pompey boss confirmed Todorov would come into contention for the Stamford Bridge clash.
"He's had a bit of an ankle injury lately but he's been training and looking good so he's in contention," he told BBC Sport.
"There's no problem there at all. There was no issue before or after the United game with him as far as I'm concerned."
