Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has hinted he might be interested in buying Bournemouth, the club he once managed. Unsettled by executive director Velimir Zajec's arrival, Redknapp told the Portsmouth Evening News: "I'm thinking one day about buying Bournemouth.
"I haven't got mega money but it is a club I could go and have some fun with. But it's down the line. I'm still here.
"Three clubs have been in my life: Bournemouth, West Ham and Portsmouth, but I've still a job to do where I am."
Asked whether he had talked to Zajec, Redknapp said: "No. What about? His job doesn't have anything to do with mine."
Redknapp insists Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie does all the transfer and contract negotiations at Fratton Park, and if that task now passes to Zajec, Redknapp claims he does not care.
Zajec claimed he would be involved in all facets of the club's development.
"The stadium, the academy and the first team. I will be everywhere," he said.
But he has confirmed an initial meeting took place with Redknapp last Thursday.
