Port Vale captain Tommy Fraser dreaming of Wembley
At 22, Fraser is one of the youngest captains in League Two
Port Vale captain Tommy Fraser has said leading his side out at Wembley is the perfect incentive for him to help the team reach the League Two play-offs.
Vale are two points away from the top seven with three matches remaining.
Fraser told BBC Radio Stoke: "We're capable of doing it and if we don't get there we'll all be disappointed.
"What more can I have than the ambition to lead my team out at Wembley? It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and that's what I'm using to spur me on."
The 22-year-old continued: "It will still be a great season and people aren't going to moan [if they miss out on the play-offs] but we're going to go for it, we're not going to cave in."
Vale have a difficult run-in, with a trip to third-placed Bournemouth sandwiched in between home games against already-promoted Notts County and play-off contenders Shrewsbury.
Midfielder Fraser has been left out of the side in the last two matches in favour of former Brighton team-mate Doug Loft, and Fraser said he accepts manager Micky Adams' decision.
"I'm human and I can still be dropped," said Fraser. "I know he doesn't like to drop his captain but I felt he had to, and Lofty's been playing well.
"I feel fresh as a daisy, I played for the reserves against Macclesfield on Monday night and I'm ready to go for Saturday's game."
