Lee Collins was sent off in injury time for a second bookable offence
Port Vale manager Dean Glover has said he will consider appealing against the red card Lee Collins received in Saturday's 2-1 win over Shrewsbury.
Collins received his marching orders for a second yellow card, just before 10-man Vale's injury-time winner.
Glover told BBC Radio Stoke: "I thought it was a ridiculous decision and I will be looking at the video to see if it's worth appealing."
Should the decision stand Collins will be suspended for one match.
As well as the on-loan Collins' red card, he was one of six Vale players booked by Cambridgeshire referee Darren Deadman.
But the only one Glover is in a position to do anything about is Collins' dismissal.
"There were some strange decisions by the referee on both parts," said Glover.
"I shall have a look to see where we can go as I didn't think it was a sending-off offence. The lad's run Lee into the channel and got in between him and the ball, the lad fell over and Lee got sent off."
Vale's next game is another relatively local derby against Chester at the Deva Stadium next Sunday (19 October, 1200 BST).
