Midfielder Louis Dodds believes Port Vale have an excellent chance of winning automatic promotion back to League One at the first attempt.
The former Leicester youngster has been an ever-present in the Vale side since he joined from the Foxes in the summer.
And he believes the size and quality of the squad assembled by boss Lee Sinnott at Vale Park could prove decisive.
Dodds told BBC Radio Stoke: "The squad here has strength in depth and that is something I feel could sway it for us."
Vale were relegated to League Two last season after winning only nine games during their League One campaign.
