Bratt is delighted the club have sold over 5,000 season tickets

Port Vale have hit their target of 5,000 season ticket pledges with still one day of the offer remaining.

Valiants supporters who have pledged to the scheme will now pay a reduced season ticket price.

An adult will be able to watch Vale play for as little as �8 a game, and chairman Bill Bratt told BBC Radio Stoke: "It's a good day.

"We've achieved the target - we're going to go forward and try and reach 6,000 now."

Juniors aged 14-18 will pay the equivalent of �4 per game, while it will cost children aged between nine and 13 just �2 per match and under-eights will be allowed free admission.

The offer for reduced prices ends at 1900 BST on Friday, 30 May.
