Port Vale have completed the signing of young Southampton striker David McGoldrick on loan until January. The 19-year-old, who spent time on loan at Bournemouth last season, could play against the Cherries on Saturday.
"I am delighted to get him in," said Vale boss Martin Foyle. "He has pace and he's exactly what we need now.
"We managed to beat off competition from Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Luton Town which is great for us. He'll be here until the New Year."
