Port Vale midfielder Danny Sonner has rejected the offer of a new contract at Vale Park. The Northern Ireland international has so far refused the improved terms on offer and has been linked with a move back to former club Walsall.
Sonner, 35, spent the 2002/03 season at Walsall either side of spells with Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest.
However, midfield man Robin Hulbert, 27, has agreed a new one-year deal with the Valiants.
