Fortune has rejected a permanent move to Vale Park |
Bristol City defender Clayton Fortune has rejected the chance of a permanent move to Port Vale, where he has been on loan since November. City had accepted an undisclosed five-figure bid for the 23-year-old, but he could not agree personal terms.
Vale manager Martin Foyle explained: "I offered Clayton a deal, but he turned it down, so we'll have to wait until the end of the season.
"It means I've got to start to look elsewhere," he added.
"I've only got five players signed on for next year, so I'm looking to strengthen everywhere."
