Port Vale are the subject of a fifth bid to takeover the club, according to BBC Radio Stoke. The latest bid was made to the club one hour after Friday's deadline and comes from an overseas investor.
Vale chairman Bill Bratt will put the offer to the board of directors at a meeting on Tuesday.
The club did not reveal further details but stressed it was not connected with pop singer and Vale fan Robbie Williams or Stoke City's Icelandic owners.
Meanwhile, Vale fans will meet on Monday to discuss a possible takeover attempt of the club.
Members of Valiant 2001, which bought the club out of administration, have had four previous offers to buy a majority share in the Burslem side.
One of the bids is from an anonymous source believed to be a life-long fan and the others include property developers.
