Plymouth Argyle director Paul Stapleton has said Home Park could be renamed in the wake of the city's inclusion in England's 2018 World Cup bid.
Plans for a new 46,000 capacity stadium were a crucial part of Plymouth's bid to be a host city in 2018.
Stapleton told BBC Radio Devon: "Surely we've got to look at ways at raising revenue to help fund the new stadium.
"Our fans have known it as Home Park for so long, but they've got to look up now and say yes we do need some help."
Stapleton added that any changes to the name at Home Park would not be in effect if Plymouth were to host World Cup games in 2018.

He said: "For the period of the World Cup you're not allowed to have a sponsors name on your stadium.
"That's part of the deal so that's taken over by FIFA and the World Cup committee."
