Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock was delighted with the debuts of his two new loan signings Russell Anderson and Gary Teale on Tuesday. The duo arrived from Sunderland and Derby respectively, just hours before the 2-0 victory at Southampton.
"Russell Anderson fitted in as if he'd been here for four or five seasons," Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon.
"Gary came on and played very, very well. It's one signing we hope we can make permanent."
Sturrock was particularly impressed by how quickly Anderson fitted in after flying down from Sunderland on Tuesday afternoon.

"He met them [the team] at 1630hrs for a pre-match meal.
"He finished up rooming with someone he didn't even know, had a quick shower and came to the game.
"He needs games, it benefits us and he's fitted in very well."
Anderson said playing for a team with confidence helped him: "The team has been doing well and that makes it easier to fit in.
"My first thought was it would be good to get back playing games and anything after that I would take as it comes.
"I was frustrated kicking my heels [at Sunderland], but that's the way football works out sometimes.
"I've been given the opportunity here and hopefully I can make the most of it."
