Argyle skipper Paul Wotton hopes to make a full comeback from serious injury |
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock is hoping club captain Paul Wotton can make a full return from his knee injury - after 14 months out of the game. Wotton, who had been out since December 2006, came on as a late substitute in Argyle's 3-0 win over Barnsley.
But Sturrock told BBC Radio Devon: "I'm hoping he'll come back to the standards we all know he can achieve.
"It's an important 15 or 16 games to go for him," added Sturrock about Wotton, who is out of contract in the summer.
Sturrock is pleased at the way the 30 year-old Wotton, who came up through the ranks at Home Park, has applied himself.
"It shows that he's got that zest in life and vitality to come back," said Sturrock. "Now he's got to build himself up."
