Plymouth manager Ian Holloway was delighted with the way his side performed in their 1-0 friendly defeat against Spanish giants Real Madrid. Holloway said: "I could not believe the strength of the side that they brought and I am very proud of my players.
"It was a good workout for both them and us and we can build on this.
"We only lost by a single goal and that was a penalty and that is a great achievement against one of the best sides in the world."
