Smith, 21, moves to London Road on loan until January when Peterborough expect to complete a permanent move.

Smith previously played under recently appointed Posh coach Tommy Taylor when he was in charge of the Linnets.

"Tommy knows the player very well. We believe he is a player who can improve us as a team," Posh boss Keith Alexander told his club's website.
