Wilder has inspired Oxford to five home league wins since taking charge

Oxford United manager Chris Wilder has revealed that he plans to sign another player before the transfer window closes on Monday.

Wilder signed striker Craig Farrell on loan from York until the end of the season on Saturday.

But he told BBC Oxford: "I'm fingers crossed that a player that would be really good for the football club will come in before the deadline.

"He is a player that I think will bring great quality to us."

He added: "The chairman has been great with it. We are where we are financially, but they [the board] will help out."
