Oxford United defender Chris Wilmott, believes he is finally over his persistent knee problems.
Wilmott, who has spent two years struggling to regain full fitness, told BBC Oxford: "I think generally my fitness is pretty good.
"Hopefully if I can hold my place in the team and see improvements as I play. There were a couple of times when I thought I wouldn't make it back.
"But since surgery I've been confident I would make it back to full fitness."
Meanwhile Oxford United are making plans to replace club physio Neil Sullivan who is leaving to take up a role with Championship side Derby County.
