Adam Murray joined Oxford from Macclesfield Town in January

Oxford United captain Adam Murray admits he has played through a virus over the first week of the new season.

Murray has taken part in both of United's first two matches but told BBC Oxford he has found it hard going.

"It's knocked me about a bit to be honest," he said. "I was on antibiotics last week and, with training, I haven't really had time to recover.

"Tuesday I was sick all day and should not have played. I feel better now and come Saturday I'll be back to 100%."
