Hutchinson waits to make his move

Eddie Hutchinson
Eddie Hutchinson has fallen out of favour at Oxford United.

Oxford United midfielder Eddie Hutchinson admits his days at the Kassam Stadium are numbered - but he will not move just "anywhere".

He and defender Alex Jeannin have been left behind while the first team squad prepare for the new season with the Royal Navy at HMS Collingwood.

"I don't really want to be training with the youth team," said Hutchinson.

"I am trying to get a move as soon as I can. I can't go anywhere, but hopefully I'll get away," he told BBC Oxford.

Despite being transfer listed by Darren Patterson the former Brentford player, 26, is pleased with the way the Oxford boss is trying to ease his exit.

"The gaffer has been as good as gold in trying to help me with clubs who are interested," he added. "It's sorting out a deal now."
