Tickets for Oxford United's glamour pre-season friendlies against Manchester United and Portsmouth go on sale on Wednesday (0700 BST).
But for the first week sales will be restricted to online only.
Spokesman Chris Williams said: "Because we are selling the games at the same time, and also selling season tickets it will prevent queues for fans."
They will be special games for Oxford's Matt Day - a former Portsmouth trainee, but a lifelong Man Utd fan.
"It's going to be good to face Portsmouth, but from the FA Cup final team I only know one player - Mendes," Day told BBC Oxford.
"As a Manchester United fan I never thought I would get the chance to say I had played against them twice, because we had them in a friendly a couple of years ago too. Let's just see who they bring this time."
Season ticket holders have their seats reserved for the friendlies against Manchester United and Wycombe Wanderers until 15 July.
They can book online if they wish, but to guarantee their normal seats they should book in person or by phone.
Lines will be open from 0930 BST on 8 July for season ticket holders to reserve their normal seats.
Tickets for the Manchester United and Wycombe Wanderers games will then go on open sale from 0930 BST on Wednesday 15 July
Season ticket holders have until 22 July to book their usual seats for the Portsmouth and Cheltenham matches.
The North Stand will only be open to home fans for the Manchester United match.
The ticket office is contacting all season ticket holders in this stand to discuss alternative arrangements for the other three games.
Normal ticket prices apply for the Manchester United game (Saturday 26 July, 1500 BST) and Portsmouth (Monday 4 August, 1945 BST).
For the matches against Wycombe (Tuesday 29 July, 1945 BST) and Cheltenham (Saturday 2 August, 1500 BST), adult prices are 8 in advance or 10 on the day for all areas of the stadium, with reductions for over-65s and children.
An incremental voucher scheme will also operate for adults who buy tickets to more than one of the home pre-season friendlies.
