Darren Patterson is delighted with Oxford's pre-season schedule.

Oxford United manager Darren Patterson has expressed his delight that the club have secured two glamour pre-season friendlies at the Kassam Stadium.

United will face a Manchester United XI on 26 July, followed by FA Cup winners Portsmouth on 4 August.

"It's fantastic that we have attracted the likes of Man United and Portsmouth," Patterson told BBC Oxford.

"Some of the games are excellent. The whole pre-season is absolutely first class."
