Oxford United chairman Nick Merry has reassured fans negotiations to buy the Kassam Stadium have not broken down.

Merry and the club's former owner Firoz Kassam agreed a price of around �13m for the ground last year.

In an interview with BBC Radio Oxford, Merry was reluctant to go into detail, but made it clear that the deal was far from dead.

"Things are on-going. We would hope we would have something to say about it real soon," he said.
