Jeannin, 29, who has also had spells with Exeter and Darlington, will be joined in pre-season training by midfielder Kalu Ngoma.

Ngoma, 29, spent last season with Darlington and made 23 appearances.

U's boss Jim Smith has also handed a trial to former Southend and Ebbsfleet winger Joel Ledgister and midfielder Phil Trainer from Solihull Moors.

Former Cardiff City midfielder Gregg Coombes, 19, who was on loan at Oxford last season, has also been invited back for pre-season.

And Smith is still waiting to hear whether defender Michael Corcoran, 19, will return after a successful loan spell from Cardiff last season.
