Oldham Athletic defender Jean-Yves Mvoto says he is enjoying life at Boundary Park.
The 22-year-old Frenchman joined the Latics on a season-long loan deal from Sunderland, along with Oumare Tounkara.
The centre-back signed for Sunderland in January 2008 for an undisclosed fee, but has yet to play the the Black Cats and last year went on loan to Southend.
He told the club's website: "I love it here and there is a good group of players who get along well together."
Mvoto has lined up at centre-back for the majority of the season, but was pushed up-front in Saturday's game against Leyton Orient as the Latics searched for a winner.
"It was good fun to play up-front and I was happy to do so to try and help the team," he added.
"I have never played as a striker before, but the gaffer said 'go up to try and score a winning goal'.
"I had two good chances but unfortunately I wasn't able to score.
"We are proving hard to beat and I'm sure we're going to have a good season."
