Oldham boss Dave Penney has completed one-month loan deals for Plymouth defender Krisztian Timar and Huddersfield midfielder Jim Goodwin.
Hungary international centre-half Timar, 30, joined Argyle from Ferencvaros in January 2007 and was their player of the season in 2007/8.
Goodwin, 28, has found opportunities limited at Huddersfield this season, making just seven appearances.
Both players are set to be in the squad to face Hartlepool on Saturday.
