Oldham Athletic manager John Sheridan says reports of a brawl on a club night out at Belle Vue greyhound racing were blown out of all proportion.
The club are investigating the reports of players fighting, with newspapers claiming Sheridan was involved.
He told BBC Radio Manchester: "Whatever went on, it was dealt with.
"I was there. I've heard and read lots of things - what I've supposed to have done, what other people have supposed to have done, it didn't happen."
He added: "One or two people had a drink, their behaviour wasn't right, I dealt with it."
Sheridan also added that there were no problems within the camp.
"The dressing room is brilliant. It's gone now and I've just got to try and concentrate and get the lads together, which they are," he said.
