Oldham goal hero Chris Taylor has insisted he will not get carried away following his excellent start to the new campaign.

The 22-year-old striker, who was born in Oldham, has scored three goals to help Latics gain maximum points from their opening two fixtures.

He told BBC Radio Manchester: "It is early days yet and you've just got to keep your feet on the ground.

"Everyone at the club knows we've just got to carry on working hard."

Taylor added: "We'll just carry on listening to what the manager and the coaches are saying.

"We can only take it from there and hopefully pick up some more good results on the way."
