Oldham Athletic have told midfielder Ashley Kelly and utility-man Michael Pearson they will be released when their contracts expire in June.

Kelly, 19, is a product of the Boundary Park youth system and spent much of the season on the substitutes' bench.

He played in the 2-0 win over Leyton Orient on 12 April after loan spells at Barrow and Leigh RMI.

Pearson, 20, has been plagued by injury since signing a one-year deal last summer and had a loan spell at Farsley.
