Ricketts has signed a three-year deal with Oldham

Ricketts, who was a free agent after leaving Preston at the end of last season, has signed a three-year contract with the Latics.

The 26-year-old scored once in nine starts for the Lilywhites following a short spell out of the game.

Ricketts previous prolific spell at Bolton earned him England recognition, before less successful stays with Middlesbrough and Leeds.
