Oldham defender Stefan Stam has signed a new one-year deal. The former PSV Eindhoven and AZ Alkmaar, 28, joined the Latics following a successful trial period in the 2003/04 season.
Manager John Sheridan told the club's website: "I'm pleased to welcome him back as he was an excellent at the heart of the defence last season."
Sheridan is now waiting to hear from the only two out-of-contract players Richie Wellens and Chris Porter.
