Oldham Athletic boss Ronnie Moore has decided not to take young Middlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull on loan. Moore had wanted to take the 20-year-old Turnbull on loan for three months, with a view to extending the deal until the end of the season.
But Boro were only prepared to release England Under-20 international for three months, with the added proviso he would not appear in cup competitions.
Turnbull has had loan spells at Darlington, Barnsley and Bradford.
