Beckett scored six goals while on loan at Huddersfield recently |
Oldham boss Ronnie Moore has secured the services of Sheffield United striker Luke Beckett as he looks to solve his side's goalscoring problems. Beckett has joined the Latics on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move.
"It has all happened pretty quickly, said Beckett, 28, told the website of his representatives, Stellar Group.
"I had a successful month at Huddersfield and hopefully I can produce the goods at Oldham as well."
He added: "I spoke to Neil Warnock who told me he thought it was a great opportunity to get some more games under my belt and I agreed."
Beckett had a prolific scoring record with Chesterfield and Stockport before joining the Blades and recently scored six times on loan at Huddersfield.
Moore was also interested in signing United striker Jonathan Forte on loan but had his request turned down by Blades boss Neil Warnock.
