Oldham ground plans take shape
Boundary Park
Oldham want to leave Boundary Park
Oldham Athletic have identified a site for their proposed new ground and agreed terms of a sale with the land's current owners.

The Latics hope to build a new 20,000-seater stadium and sports complex at Ferney Field Farm in nearby Chadderton at a cost of 20m.

The club intends to start the planning process immediately.

The scheme is scheduled to take two years if approval and the necessary financial backing is secured.

"Entering an agreement to buy the land is a major step forward and shows that as football club owners we are here to stay," managing director Simon Corney told Oldham's website.
