Confidence back at Notts County - Neal Bishop

Notts County midfielder Neal Bishop believes confidence has returned to the squad with the Meadow Lane side currently on a four-match unbeaten run.

The Magpies drew 1-1 at Plymouth on Tuesday and are now 18th in League One, a point clear of the relegation zone.

Bishop told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Going to places like Plymouth and getting a point breeds confidence.

"It was sorely missing early in the season - it's coming back, you can see we have the makings of a good team."

Notts sacked Craig Short in October with the club 16th in the table and, after Paul Ince was appointed at the end of that month, Notts then lost his first three league matches in charge and slipped into the relegation zone.

But wins at home to Swindon and MK Dons was followed by an FA Cup victory over Bournemouth, and then Tuesday's draw at Plymouth.

"Plymouth have been on a decent run themselves," added Bishop.

"It's a fair result but it's tinged with a bit of disappointment as we could've nicked it."
