Notts County manager Ian McParland says he is chasing other targets after missing out on striker Billy Clarke, who joined Blackpool last week.

McParland told the club's website: "We tried our hardest to convince him to come here, but Championship football is hard to turn down.

"Behind-the-scenes we're working very hard to bring someone in capable of scoring 20 or more goals for us.

"It is a case of moving on and working our way down the list."
