McParland guided Notts to their first win of the season against Aldershot
Notts County manager Ian McParland was delighted to see the team's new passing style pay off with a 2-1 win over Aldershot on Saturday.
Many Notts fans have been pleased with the way the side had been playing before their opening win of the season.
And McParland is thrilled their attractive brand of football has started to pay dividends.
"I'm absolutely delighted for the players because they've put so much effort into it," he said.
He added: "They're trying to buy in to how to play football."
McParland admits the Magpies' new approach to the game does have its risks, but insists the players will start to reap the rewards for passing the ball around.
"At times it'll break down because we're playing a passing game. Our fans have to realise that we've not got your Ronaldos and people like that but we're still trying to play a passing game.
"It'll put the ball at risk, and they'll take the ball and make bad passes, but we don't mean to. I think in general we passed it well again [against Aldershot]."
