Wilkinson hopes to help out current boss Ian Richardson |
Howard Wilkinson has returned to Notts County as non-executive director - nearly 25 years after leaving as manager. But the ex-Leeds boss will also have a role to play on the training pitch, passing on his experience to current caretaker player-boss Ian Richardson.
Wilkinson said: "Notts County gave me my start in the Football League.
"But my position does not preclude me getting on the training ground and doing all the things I have been doing for the past few years."
Wilkinson, who helped guide the Magpies from the old Third Division into the top-flight nearly a quarter of a century ago, added: "I also care about the future of this club and clubs like it who are an important part of the bigger picture."
