Davies the key for Camp return

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp has revealed the chance to work under Billy Davies was a major reason for joining the Reds on a permanent basis.

Reports had previously claimed that Camp and Davies had fallen out when both at Derby, but Camp dismissed suggestions of a rift between the pair.

He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I am delighted to be here and I'm delighted to be working with him.

"It's amazing these stories you hear - they never came from me or from Billy."

The 24-year-old spent nearly three months on-loan at the City Ground last season, where he became a huge favourite with the Reds' supporters.

The shot-stopper added: "We had a good relationship at Derby but my time had come to an end. He had big decisions to make and he made them.

"There was never any hard feelings or anything like that. I knew myself my time had come to an end.

"I know what he is about. I know exactly the standards he sets and he's a great manager to play for. As soon as he came knocking there was only one place I wanted to be."
