Nottingham Forest are hoping Robert Earnshaw will be fit to face Plymouth Argyle on Saturday despite picking up a hamstring injury against Charlton.
The Welsh international striker was substituted 10 minutes before the end of Saturday's goalless draw.
Forest manager Colin Calderwood told the club website: "Ernie is having a scan as a precaution but we are hopeful that it's nothing serious.
"We should know the extent of it in a couple of days."
The 27-year-old has already scored five goals in nine games for the Reds.
