Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood insists he will not be forced into panic buying to cope with life in the Championship next season.
Forest have already signed Rob Earnshaw and Calderwood says any other signings will also be carefully weighed up.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We've a list with two or three that hasn't really altered because we got promoted.
"We hoped we'd get into this position and that list that we thought we could achieve is the one we are working on."
But Calderwood says there is no danger on him gambling in the transfer market.
"It won't be anyone ringing me up saying we've got such and such," he explained.
"It will be the process that has been pretty fruitful for us in terms of recruiting them, scouting them and the homework that goes in trying to find out about players."
