Nottingham Forest captain Ian Breckin has spoken of his delight at agreeing a new 12-month contract with the Reds.

The 32-year-old centre-half joined from Wigan for �350,000 in 2005 and has played more than 120 games.

He said: "I've always regarded myself as fortunate to have had the opportunity to play for a club like Forest, let alone be club captain.

"It's a great club and I'm excited about having at least one more season," he told the club website.
